Make the queerness of specific heroes and parts of the world unavoidable, an element of the future narrative in ways that provide them with new relationships or developments which act as more than diverse window dressing. Progress like this could well be in the works, and the twisted methods in which Activision seeks to salvage its own image shouldn’t tarnish a piece of media that for years has played a part in LGBTQ+ people feeling seen, heard, and confident that things can get better.

The hardest general achievement (or maybe easiest) isn't exactly challenging in terms of talent, in fact there’s no skill required. What it does need is for you to put in a lot of time - or money. The Decked Out trophy is a holdover from Overwatch 1, and you’ll see

Stairs from both sides lead up to here, so it can be easily countered by simply walking up and taking out the camper. If you are camping here, you can use Widowmaker for sniping or any other ranged hero to stop the other team's forward progress for quite some t

As already mentioned, Lifeweaver doesn't have much ability to heal himself in a one-on-one situation and will need to rely on his movement abilities to come out better in a fight. As a result, heroes that can do this better will naturally come out on top in a fight, along with heroes that can dispose of Lifeweaver quic

There are plenty of positives to this new hero, though, with his powerful ultimate that makes up for the lack of healing and his abilities that allow teammates to be saved where other supports would fall short. However, when looking at how to counter a hero it is best to look at their weakness

Reaper is one of the characters in the game who's on the dark side. Multiple cinematic have revealed him to be an intimidating and edgy hero, and that immensely suits his deep voice. Furthermore, his ability to destroy an entire team single-handedly is also apprecia

Despite a disappointing first impression, Jade believes that Overwatch 2 may evolve into a worthwhile experience once the developer synthesizes its vision. She says, "I remain convinced this moment will come for Overwatch 2, but right now it feels like a game out of time that is laughably behind when compared to its riva

An alleyway wraps around the house and leads into the room with stairs from the ground level. It is quite the journey, but well worth it to take out anyone camping there and allow the payload to move forward during a game of Escort. If you don't feel like making the trek, lob explosives in there to get them out of posit

However, despite the heavy-handed transition to a free-to-play model that demands your money – or obscene amounts of time – to keep up with the metagame, there are a few elements of gameplay that you can enjoy without opening your wal

Reaper's ultimate can easily be counted as one of the strongest abilities in the entire game, but it's still important to know your limits . There will be times when you'll be tempted to chase a squishy character if they're alone even when you're super low , and you need to resist the u

D.va's Defence Matrix stops Lifeweaver's basic attack as it is a projectile . This means that when a D.va flies over to attack a Lifeweaver, they can only try to escape as there is little hope of winning the fi

Fans of the original Overwatch 2 collectibles will be divided by the inclusion of a Battle Pass, but it stands as the sole metric of completion for those who don't want to grind competitive ranks. The once fast-paced profile level-ups have been replaced with Battle Pass ranks, which require 10,000 experience per level to advance. There are bonuses tied to daily, weekly, and role-specific challenges that award anywhere from 100 points to 5,

Being the oldest Overwatch event, Halloween Terror comes with the widest assortment of game modes and challenges. Of these many challenges, "Held The Door" is surely the rarest and most difficult achievement to e

Oasis is a strict Control only map in Overwatch 2. Control is a mode that has an objective area placed down, and both teams fight to control it. Only a few heroes can make use of the best camping spot here, as they have to reach the top of the dome-like structure right above one of the map's objective poi

Pharah is a lesbian. One of Overwatch ’s most beloved heroes has been the intense focus of queer pairings and headcanons since the first game’s release in 2016, and Blizzard has now confirmed our long-held sapphic suspicions as part of an upcoming Pride event. Pharah sits alongside Tracer, Soldier 76, and Baptiste as one of many queer characters, although some of them were retroactively blessed with this queerness instead of it being part of their origins. This brings up an interesting debate, and the community has been hashing out the value of LGBTQ+ representation which didn’t exist when the foundations were built, but was subtly added through future updates and multimedia stories that don’t even exist within the game itself. It can be easy to label Overwatch’s handling of queer characters and themes as hollow rainbow capitalism, even more so when Activision has a habit of dropping huge revelations like this alongside evolving workplace scandals or big stories that it wants to distract you from. Pharah feels like an unfortunate coincidence, but it’s hard to forgive its awkward timing when it’s flanked by a damning Bobby Kotick article that brings years’ worth of scandals screaming back into the headlines. It’s gross, and puts an unfortunate spin on a big reveal that fans have a right to be excited about. I used to play Overwatch every day. It was a game that defined my time in university. My flatmates and I would often play games in the evening or speculate about future seasonal events and loot drops.
