Overwatch shipped with 21 playable characters, but subsequent updates added support sniper Ana and sneaky hacker Sombra to the fray. More characters are expected in the future, with rumors currently flying around about actor and expert shouter Terry Crews voicing Doomfist, one of several arch villains of the Overwatch universe only referenced in hushed tones thus far. With such a diverse gallery, it's interesting to find out where some of these dynamic characters came from in the first pl

The first Titanfall had an unfortunate combination of excellent and terrible ideas, providing innovative mechanics, but limited online combat which utilized AI more than human players. Titanfall inspired the shooters that followed it, influencing Call of Duty into adopting parkour and futuristic mechan

Overwatch may be an elite task force with the sole purpose of destroying killer robots, but Overwatch as a game has always had a message of inclusiveness with it's global cast of heroes. Which is why it seems a little problematic that Pharah's Raindancer and Thunderbird skins allude to the cultures of certain Native American tribes, in name and design, though she is explicitly Egyptian. She is the daughter of Ana, who is also Egyptian, and was formerly enlisted in the Egyptian Army where she held the rank of Security Officer. With so much attention given to backstory and especially to the linguistic verisimilitude of the voice actors, it's difficult to pinpoint why these skins exist. Many Native American players have called for an easy solution: Give us a Native American hero. This might actually be Overwatch 's intentions, or a brilliantly crafted retcon, because Reinhardt is not stated as Pharah's father despite his romantic history with Ana. Perhaps we will get a Native American hero when Pharah's real father is revea

If you don’t appreciate graphic violence, Doom is not meant for you; for those who enjoy the gore which the original 1993 Doom made popular, the 2016 sequel provides plenty of gruesome enemies and dea

Essentially an extension of the Custom Game mode, the Game Broswer enables you to adjust the settings on various modes, maps, and heroes to create a uniquely designed match. For example, if you want to remove the cooldown for McCree's Combat Roll, or increase the speed of Pharah's rockets, you can. Once you're happy with your settings, you'll need to set up permissions. You can limit the people who can join your game through various options, or set your server to "Public," unleashing your creation to dairy farmers in Slovenia to Karate Teachers in Florida. You can read more about the new feature here , or watch the video below for a slightly less revealing, but still effective, overv

Titanfall 2 makes up for the faults of its predecessor, providing a well-rounded game with excellent single-player and multiplayer options. While Infinite Warfare acts futuristic but offers surprisingly little versatility, Titanfall 2 fully optimizes its setting. Pilots may zoom through maps or quickly ascend buildings while the slower Titans destroy anything in sight. The Titanfall games revolutionize shooters through brilliant use of 3-D space, forcing players to constantly watch both ground and sky in order to surv

Hanzo, while effective in the right hands, will still garner a groan from teammates who see him picked in a competitive match. With Hanzo, we enter the section of the list that is "below ideal." Sure, an effective Hanzo player can devastate the enemy team. That said, most people would rather have a Soldier 76 or even Widowmaker on their side over a Ha

This is the smallest change, but oh so beneficial. Currently on console, auto-joining teamchat is turned off by default. All Overwatch players on console want is to have it turned on be default. For a game that takes a lot of team cooperation to win an objective, it's essential that the players be able to communicate. On PC, it's fairly simple to press 'p' and click from 'Group Chat' to 'Team Chat.' But on the console, it's not so simple, where you have to navigate through several menus each time. And if you join a match with some players already grouped, it's almost impossible to communicate to them asking them to switch. On PC, you can always just type and ask your teammates to hop in the right chat, on console, there just isn't time. This results in a lot gifs that look like this , with players having to pantomime yes's and no's to get their point across. Entertaining? Yes. But not all that good for you if you're trying to

If you’re looking for online competition, Mass Effect 3 provides online gameplay with the same mechanics as Mass Effect 2 . Unfortunately, the campaign in the third FPS game skins significantly suffers, making Mass Effect 2 the best single-player option. The story, characters, and combat make up for the lack of online gameplay—and if normal gameplay isn’t difficult enough, you can always try the infamous Insanity m
