Hunters could always fall back on Golden Gun—just as Warlocks have Well of Radiance and Titans have Ward of Dawn—but it's become less sought after ever since Titans received the Cuirass of the Falling Star Exotic. Now, Titans can dish out slightly more damage than Golden Gun in a single slam that also kills nearby targets. Most LFG teams now look for Titans to fulfill the DPS role Golden Gun used to fill, even if Golden Gun is much safer to use.
I think the best way of showcasing my point is to simply tell you what new Guardians go through in today’s version of Destiny. They are brought to a character screen, create a class that sounds cool to them, then are immediately sent into a Dares of Eternity game . Before you even know how to throw a grenade, Destiny throws you into a wacky game show with a celestial horse and some hooded NPC that keeps breaking the fourth wall. This is clearly a bug, but it sucks that a New Light’s first impression is a game mode they can’t beat unless veteran Destiny players intentionally drop their Power Level to bail them out.

My favorite memories in Destiny involve playing with close friends. Defeating Riven legitimately in Last Wish wouldn’t have been nearly as exciting if I was with a group of randoms. Farming Master Nightfalls is infinitely more fun while joking around with close-knit Guardians. Going Flawless in the Trials of Osiris would have been impossible if it wasn’t for my clan helping me become a better player. Destiny is at its best when you’re bonding with friends while farming for a shiny gun.

The Dares of Eternity resembles fan favorite 6-player activities like The Menagerie from the Season of Opulence or the Sundial from Season of the Dawn. Xur is the go-to NPC, where players can get bounties that can only be completed in the activity. In addition, exclusive emotes, items, universal ornaments, and shaders can be earned through completing various triumphs in the 30th Anniversary triumph tab. Xur's treasure Hoard also houses the Starhorse NPC, which sells players Dare bounties with a high XP payout upon completion, but they can only be bought using 'Strange Coins.' Strange Coins are earned upon completion of the Dares of Eternity activity and earned research by the staff of libtoc.com killing special mini-bosses within the activity. Players will also earn treasure keys using the same methods for earning Strange Coins; these keys can be used to open the treasure chests at Xur's treasure hoard, which will earn players classic Halo -themed weapons for Destiny
The only remaining use for Hunters has been to inflict slow through their Revenant Super, activating an Artifact mod called Focusing Lens that stacks with other buffs. Sadly, Bungie removed this interaction with the 30th Anniversary Pack. That patch also nerfed both Hunter dodges in hopes of making the class ability less potent in the Crucible. While that was certainly achieved, it also nerfed Hunters in PvE. Specs like Bottom Tree Nightstalker were tuned around frequently dodging and using your melee, something you can't do as frequently now unless you run The Sixth Coyote or Omnioculus. And if you're a player that loved using Dragon's Shadow or Wormhusk Crown, you can forget about using Gambler's Dodge.

After rounds 1 and 2 of Dares of Eternity , a short jumping puzzle in Destiny 2 will reward the player with full ammo and stat boosts if they don't fall to the lower level of each puzzle.
