That's how the first forty minutes or so of the Elden Ring Seamless Co-op mod (played in split-screen on PC courtesy of Nucleus Co-op) looked for my partner and myself. As someone who's completed the vanilla game, I wanted to take a bit of a backseat so that she could experience some of the wonderment of Elden Ring's daunting world without too much direction. A co-op experience that began with me acting as her mentor and guide soon turned into the classically intense Elden Ring gauntlet; the pressure ratcheted as we ascended Stormhill, and soon we were both desperately yelling commands at each other and frantically yet methodically fighting the neon-lit boatman known as the Tibia Mariner.
The blade has mostly been the same throughout the years with the most radical change being in Skyward Sword which gave an origin story to the blade. The upcoming Zelda installment, Tears of the Kingdom , also appears as if it will give a new take on the bl
Many fans have noted that Jedi: Fallen Order is the closest thing that the Star Wars universe has gotten to a Dark Souls experience, with the combat system and world design both taking their cues from the FromSoft series. Luckily, Star Wars games tend to be made with a more general audience in mind and that means Fallen Order is thoroughly accessi
Elden Ring crafting guide Ring's massive commercial appeal as 'an open-world RPG from the mind of George R. R. Martin' (ostensibly) has pulled people into its maelstrom who'd never have considered playing a game like Dark Souls or Bloodborne - maybe even explicitly avoided them due to their daunting reputation. I've no doubt that Elden Ring has opened many peoples' eyes to the wonder of FromSoft games, but I've also seen the Facebook and Twitter posts of confused (and relatively casual) gamers who have struggled to understand what this weird-ass game wants from them. What superficially may look like a Skyrim or a Witcher 3 is anything but.
The quests given to the Dragonborn by the Daedric Princes are without a doubt some of the most fun in the game. One of those quests leads players to obtain Meridian's blade, Dawnbreaker, one of the best weapons players can get in Skyr
As the name implies, this weapon is not much different from the Caestus, aside from the bonus stats all around. The biggest difference is the bonus bleed damage this weapon applies . While each hit doesn't stack as much as other weapons, its quicker attack speed makes it build up as fast as other bleed weap
The dragon-smithing stones of both types are even more challenging to come by than the rest of the stones. There are only eight Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones in all the Lands Between! The final Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone in the Haligtree can be collected after defeating Malenia . For the eighth and final Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone, head over to the Leyndell, Captial of Ash Site of Grace. Climb the ladder, make your way up two sets of stairs and focus your attention West, past the railing . You should see a glowing item guarded by a large creature with wings and an axe. Jump onto the platform below the barrier when the enemy is facing away from you, and proceed to the dead body that holds the final Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing St
Next, travel northward until you reach the Apostate Derelict Site of Grace. From here, approach the gigantic sleeping woman, summon Latenna and collect the Silver Mirrorshield . Exhaust Latenna's dialogue until you receive the sixth Somber Ancient Smithing St

Make your way to the Dragon Temple Rooftop Site of Grace at the northernmost point of the Crumbling Farum Azula. Make your way South past the enemies and the dragon that will spawn in your way until you reach a gazebo-like structure that holds a Somber Ancient Smithing St
At the Haligtree, three Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones are within reach. Two are pretty easy to get; the third, not so much. To obtain the first one, fast travel or make your way to the Prayer Room Site of Grace . From here, exit the door to the North, and make a left. Take this path until you reach a staircase leading downwards; you will need to jump off the railing onto the large diagonal platform below you and then leap onto the floor to your left (the one with eight mini columns in a circle). Continue North past these columns and hop onto another large diagonal platform similar to the one before. This time, make your way upwards and enter the open arch ahead of you . There will be a chest inside that contains the first smithing stone in this locat
